Dear sisters! Receive our greetings from
Butare community in Rwanda! We are very grateful to God for the warm welcoming
we received from the sisters, the joy and happiness we have experienced with
them from 25th to 28th August 2022. We were
touched by their openness during the three days of sessions. We were also happy
to see them living together though they come from different countries, cultures
and with different ages. This increased our desire to continue journeying with
the sisters and to join them. We were seven young women. We finished our Senior
6 this year and we are waiting for the results. Thank you for carrying us in
your prayers.
Each
one of us was deeply touched by the MSOLA Charism and apostolic work, like
working against Human Trafficking, creating awareness about Climate Change,
taking care of creation and environment, Justice and Peace, working with the
refugees and marginalized, children, youth, women and many other activities.
We
were happy to watch the video sent by sisters, Mukatabaza Xaverine who is in Malindi, Dusenge Domina who is in Algeria and Novice Saverine who is in Burkina
Faso. Their witness opened our eyes and gave us more views on the congregation
of the Missionary Sisters of our Lady of Africa. It helped us also to
understand that God calls who he wants differently, but gather them together as
one family through community life. We
saw also that the one he calls, he gives her strengths to follow him even when
she meets difficulties.
We watched also a film on discernment which helped us to understand that discernment is between two good things. We learnt the importance of listening to our hearts’ desires, how to weigh the two alternatives for a better choice. Reflection and prayer were very important for us during this session and we will continue to own it in our daily life.
Your finalist aspirants in Butare .
We are united in prayer.
